New Room

I have been dragging my feet a little bit on this project...Rachel mentioned moving down to the basement ages ago (Anna moved out in May), but I just hadn't been in a rush to do it. We had a Friday off school in mid-November, so I started really working on it on that Thursday night and then worked on Friday, Saturday to get it all done. Ikea furniture can take a long time to put together! So, she had wanted all this fancy painting-think plaid or argyle-yikes! Not that I couldn't, I just wanted something a little more simple. So we landed on two colors and embellishing with some vinyl stickers. Nice compromise. Well, she loves it. I think it turned out well. I just painted the closet white (3 coats-yuck) and the rest of it covered in two.

It came together nicely. And she actually likes hanging out there. By herself and with friends. Abby came over and I let them put the vinyl up together. It looks good (you know, for the most part!).
