I thought this little monkey was going to walk at 9 months. But she didn't. And now we are at 13 months and yesterday she decided this was something she was going to do. (Cell phone video quality, sorry. But it's much easier to upload than the real camera.) And watch out for the wild animal at the end.

Fall Soccer
I am pretty sure I failed to post about Spring soccer (I may have been blocking memories-it was seriously a cold season with at least half of the games getting rescheduled and the other ones were pretty unpleasant). But, we got some of the old team back together for this Fall season. Trevor is playing with his "best buddy" Jacob, who's mom (a seriously good soccer player herself) is the coach. He is kind of catching onto the game....but he has fun.

And on a totally unrelated note, but just because it's cute, Trevor will lay down on the floor and lift his shirt a little and Aubrey will attack him by blowing on his tummy. It's so funny! And I finally caught it on camera!
He is #3

Hiking the Y
For Labor Day, I decided we should do a hike as a family. We have done this before, so I needed to find a new hike, just to spice it up. I borrowed a book from a friend about some local hikes, and the "Y" that is just east of the BYU campus in Provo was on there. It's a steep one, ascending 1100 feet in just over a mile, but the views were awesome. We went in the morning and then ate our packed lunch and then went to Seven Peaks for the last day of the season (it was crowded and not warm so we were only there for like 2 hours. Plus it was T's bday and we wanted to go out to eat that night).
There was a little whining at first, but really the kids did great. We took some breaks and had some treats for motivation. It was a popular trail that day. We didn't see any rattlesnakes, which Rach was sad about but I was not.
Birthday Boy
I can't believe that 5 years ago, I had just one kid! Then all that changed when Trevor came along. I was really looking forward to bringing a healthy baby home with me, but that did not happen (for 10 long days he was in the NICU at LDS hospital). But he is strong and healthy now. Trevor says the most funny things all the time-he really gets us laughing. And he has a wonderful imagination. We can't imagine our family without him. We celebrated a little on Sunday with cake and ice cream after my side of the family's dinner. That's a Ben-10 cake.

How do you manage cake AND ice cream when they aren't allowed to touch?
Monday, his real birthday, he got to open the presents. All he has asked for the last 9 months (since Christmas) is a DS. A 3D-DS. See that joy?
That night we had dinner at Famous Dave's and he enjoyed his Birthday Sundae.
This is the Beyblade battlefield that he got from G&G Hyte. He loves them (courtesy of older cousin Grant-thanks) and they are glorified tops that spin and bounce off each other. This is the first of many epic "battles."

Professional Pics
So, my sister has this friend who is opening a new photo studio in Lehi that will be much like FotoFly who we love (it's actually the sis-in-law of the owner of that). It's called Camera Shy. She needed some subjects to train her staff with. We volunteered. This wasn't at the actual studio (which is now open but wasn't at the time). We will go back in a few weeks or so to do our yearly family pictures. Here's the result:
Trevor was being difficult but Rach was awesome so they kept posing her and taking more (you can see why!)
They grow up so fast!!
